Through the marketing and development of groundbreaking technologies, Jeff Martin has spent his career applying innovation to multimedia product design. Martin continues to build new mobile commerce channels by changing the way consumers engage with entertainment, industry and philanthropy.
In 2001 and 2008, Martin founded Tribal Brands and Tribal Technologies, respectively. Tribal Brands developed mCommerce solutions for a variety of consumer brands and was one of the first companies to drive more than one billion dollars in mobile-based sales for the entertainment industry through 17 global carrier alliances Tribal Technologies created the first intelligent database behind mobile applications that predicted consumer behavior and interactions, powering unique mCommerce channels, and providing incentive programs for customers. The extensive mobile analytics platform captured actionable, psychographic data highlighting user tastes and preferences collected through mobile devices. In 2014, Tribal Brands and Tribal Technologies were combined to create Tribal Planet
Prior to Tribal Planet, Martin helped pioneer the entertainment and new media markets divisions at Apple in the early 1990s for 9 years and was a direct report to Steve Jobs after the NEXT acquisition.
CHIEF BUSINESS OFFICER
Will is accountable for driving market-centricity in Tribal Planet’s business. He leads global markets and business development, customer relationships, commercial partnerships, customer solution delivery and the translation of Tribal Planet’s vision and market requirements into the evolution of solutions and services.
Will has over 20 years experience in the technology consulting across the Government, Education, Consumer Products, Energy and Non-Profit sectors around the world.
He is a former Ernst & Young Advisory Partner, where most recently he led the Social Infrastructure business in the Middle East and North Africa, covering Education, Youth Development, Social Welfare and Entrepreneurship. He also led EY’s UK & Ireland Government Technology Advisory business in the UK based out of London. Prior to EY, he spent over 10 years with Andersen Consulting/Accenture on large scale technology transformation program sales and delivery.
Co-Founder, Head of Consumer Experience
Quiz is responsible for consumer experience, creative strategies, creative direction, content management, and UI/UX for Tribal Planet’s mobile platforms, data analytics, web and digital products, and marketing.

Chief Social Impact Officer
Patterson builds meaningful partnerships between Tribal Planet’s corporate partners and social impact organizations to address large-scale social and environmental challenges. Chance is currently leading the adoption of the new March for Humanity mobile app launching in 2020 enabling app users to activate and engage on social impact issues by taking footsteps on energy-producing kinetic sidewalks in more than 30 global locations and at variety of internationally recognized award ceremonies, global culture events and corporate headquarters.
An accomplished technology and media executive, Patterson brings to Tribal Planet deep experience in corporate communications, software start-ups and management consulting. Following his early career as corporate M&A attorney and management consultant at KPMG, Patterson served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs for Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo Studios, led communications and lobbying for XM Satellite Radio and later managed both communications and investor relations for 2U, Inc., a publicly-traded online education software company.
He currently serves as Strategic Advisor to True Blue Inclusion, a leading DC-based culture, diversity and inclusion advisory firm and The Law Offices of Marc Lane, a nationally-recognized firm specializing in Business and Social Enterprise law.
Buell is a highly accomplished software professional with extensive experience in engineering management, software engineering, project management, product management, and consulting.
His previous role was SVP of Engineering at Rdio, a streaming music service that is delivered across mobile, web, desktop, and hardware devices such as Sonos, Roku, and automotive platforms. While there Buell oversaw the expansion of the service from 19 to 60 countries in 21 languages and delivered 3 major project releases in 2013 on schedule and with high quality.
SVP, Business Development
Previously CEO of TRI Studios, a state of the art digital audio/video studio built by Bob Weir, Chris focused on directing the digital business strategy for Grateful Dead Productions, the holding company for the Grateful Dead.
McCutcheon was also VP of the Conifer Group, a San Francisco provider of services to investment managers.
VP, Content & Strategic Partnerships
Gifford has 13 years work and research experience in climate change, energy, and development. She founded and currently advises the Berkeley Rural Energy Group.
Prior roles include work at the World Bank, Heinz Centre, and UN where she was involved in the Nobel Prize winning Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
Head of Education & Lead for Middle East
Shahir is based in Dubai and leads Tribal's Middle East business. She has 10 years' experience in youth development, working in education delivery and policy consultancy across the UK and Middle East. She has published a number of reports into labour market and education reform, and advises on refugee education programs.
