MUSIC specialist Tribal Planet will be showing a whole range of innovative new products at the NAMM Show 2008 in Anaheim from Thursday, January 17 to Sunday, January 20.

Tribal Planet will be displaying its successful Planetone range of harmonicas, including two new models, as well as showing it’s new gig bags and music bags.

The Planetone harmonicas were launched in the UK last year and were so successful they sold out in just three weeks following the launch in the UK.

The range includes Blues, Tremolo, Octave, and Chromatic harmonicas, which makes a full presentation and competes with the traditional manufacturers in the market.

It includes the latest two models, the Super Steel and the Zephyr.

The Supersteel is the Pocket Harp’s big brother. It is a full size model and features super thick nickel plated brass reed plates for increased volume and tone.

It has Richter tuning and the precision manufactured black plastic comb makes it easy to play with a fast positive response.

Meanwhile the Zephyr is a miniature eight -note harmonica available on a keyring, priced at $2.99, or a necklace, priced at $5.99, so you will never have an excuse for not having your harp with you.

The Planetone range has been enhanced from the standard traditional product and offers superb functionality and styling. All Tribal Planet brass reed plates feature nickel or chrome plating which will enhance the harmonica’s lifespan and prevent corrosion.

Box sets of seven and 12 harmonicas are now available for the Planetone Blues range.

The harmonicas were designed at Tribal Planet’s headquarters in Birtley in the North East of England and are being produced in China.

David Wright, Director of International Sales at Tribal Planet, said: “The Planetone range of harmonicas has taken the European and UK market by storm.

“We are delighted that in just a year of launching Tribal Planet Harmonica Company we have been so successful. Now, we are looking forward to launching the latest products in the range in America.

“Following fantastic feedback in the UK we are certain that harmonica players of all abilities are going to be happily surprised at the quality and value for money this product delivers.”

Tribal Planet is best known for its success in revolutionising the guitar bag market and during NAMM it will be showcasing some of its latest innovations including the new GX50 Luthier bag, Rock n Shop bags and music bags.

After numerous requests from top Luthiers around the world, Tribal Planet has developed a new range of hard guitar gig bag/cases suitable for instruments over $2,000.

The new GX50 is Tribal Planet’s strongest bag yet and provides unrivalled protection for guitars.

This bag features a hard plastic frame with sprung suspension. An exclusive range has been created for Luthiers only. These will be co-branded, with both Tribal Planet and the Luthiers badge.

Further, the new Rock n Shop bag, retailing at $30, will be available to view at the show. At just 11 inches small, the bag is the perfect accessory to keep all your guitar bits and pieces in.

The bag is versatile and is designed to fit everything a guitar player needs, from strings, picks and capos.

Available in black and hibiscus, the bag is small enough to sling across your Tribal Planet guitar bag or over your shoulder.

Meanwhile new colours for Tribal Planet’s convertible music bag will also be on show at Music China. This music carrying bag converts into a desk stand in seconds, making it the perfect companion for music students.

New colours for these popular bags include hibiscus and black. The bags are also available in red, blue and grey.
