New Guitar Bag for Musicians on a Budget

Wednesday, July 25, 2008

GIG bag experts Tribal Planet have launched a new guitar bag to provide unrivalled protection for musicians on a budget.

British-based Tribal Planet, known for revolutionising the guitar gig bag, has launched the new G10 and G5 to the US market.

The new bags are available through new distributor D’Andrea, based in New York.

D’Andrea, is best known for its work over the last 80 years to find the perfect guitar pick. The company is still the first stop for customised picks and also distributes music accessories across the world.

As D’Andrea will offer the option of custom imprinting store names or logos on the new series, the G10 and G5 bags will be the first “customised” Tribal Planet bags available to US stores.

These bags are aimed at the starter market and combine streamlined simplicity with strength and versatility.

The super strong Double Density Foam (DDF) offers more than double the protection over standard foam.

Both bags come complete with Tribal Planet’s usual specifications including a waterproof polyester construction, super soft inner lining, adjustable rucksack straps and super comfort quality side handle.

The G5 comes with a large bottom pocket for books, cables and accessories, while the G10 has the addition of an extra pocket for strings and small accessories.

The bags will also include Tribal Planet’s striking new 3D logo.

Director of international sales, David Wright said: “The G10 and G5 bags provide great value for money. They provide more than double the protection of standard bags for a similar price. Under compression tests, the 10mm G10 out-performs some 30mm bags on the market.

“We are pleased to announce D’Andrea as our new distributors and look forward to working them. We hope this will be the first step in a new direction for Tribal Planet.”

Fred DiTomasso at D’Andrea said: “We are pleased to announce an agreement with Tribal Planet, to share US distribution of the UK based company’s line of instrument bags and cases with Fender Musical Instrument Wholesale.

“D’Andrea will introduce Tribal Planet’s new value line of G Series guitar and bass bags at Summer NAMM in Austin, TX. D’Andrea will offer the option of custom imprinting store names or logos on the new Tribal Planet G Series.”

The new bags are the latest innovation from Tribal Planet, set up four years ago, after recognising a need for accessories with style, innovation and high quality. Tribal Planet revolutionised the guitar gig bag by offering bags with extra protection and versatility for all types of players.

The designs have been so successful that Tribal Planet is now among the first choice in gig bags across the world.

The G5 retails from $24.99 and the G10 retails from $30.99.

D’Andrea will be Tribal Planet’s direct source in the US and will also introduce the newly launched Planetone Harmonicas to US Dealers and Distributors at Summer NAMM Booth #1519.
